First Semester

My first semester here at Muskingum University has been amazing and I'm truly bless for all the friends I have made. The reason why I choose Muskingum was because of the small school which meant small classes, cheer program, beautiful campus, everyone was super friendly, and it was the only school that had my major that I liked.  As a first year coming into college I was afraid of a lot of different things. One thing I wasn't going to be afraid of was my roommate because I have known her since we were in 8th grade and she is a great best friend. I remember the first weekend I arrived on campus and we had to attend a bunch of activities and all I wanted to do was relax. Also, this school just so happens to be three hours away and I was scared about being in a new place but, I knew I could do it especially with all the helpful staff and great muskies here. Now that my first semester is coming to an end I am becoming more stress out because of finals. Also, I do have a countdown to when I go back home because honestly I just want to go back and visit with all of my family members. I knew coming to college wasn't going to be as easy as high school but, I didn't realize how much more studying I have had to do for all my test. When coming to Muskingum University I really thought that staying at Thomas Hall would be great. However, I have come to terms that there are pros and cons to staying at this hall. Pros being that it's only a freshman hall which I like and that there is a dining hall attach to it which is awesome. Cons are that the dining hall is closed every weekend and that the room size here is horrible. I also come to terms that I relied a lot on my parents for money. Being part of the cheer program here at Muskingum University has been amazing. I have always wanted to cheer in college but, never thought that would happen and it did. Even though Muskingum has made me feel like home, I plan on transferring after this year and I'm intending to change my major.
